Safety Focus of the Week: Storage of Flammable or Combustible Liquids
Gasoline, kerosene, diesel, other petroleum fuels, and possibly other products that we use are subject to OSHA Standards 1926.152. The scope of this standards, as it applies to us, includes:
- Storage container requirements
- Container Labeling & Placarding
- Storage Requirements for inside of Buildings
- Fire Protection
- Containment Systems
- Other Items
In addition to OSHA, we are also subject DOT requirements for handling, storing, labeling, placarding, and transporting these liquids.
Specific questions on Flammable or Combustible Liquids should be addressed to Matt Orszulak.
