Services
General:
Renewable Energy Projects bring together many of ECI’s basic and specialty skills: earthwork, concrete foundations, specialty foundations, conduit, grounding, directional drilling, and other skills. ECI is currently involved in over 4.5 megaWatts of solar and wind generation throughout northern Vermont.
Solar:
We have installed hundreds of solar trackers (4 kW) in the residential and commercial markets with All Earth Renewables of Williston, Vermont. We were also the prime design-build contractor for the government on a 2.2 mW Renewable Energy Project for the Vermont National Guard in South Burlington.
Wind:
We are experts at installing at installing the Northern Power 100 (kW). We are certified installers and have completed the Rock of Ages Turbine in Barre, Vermont and the Northland JobCorps Turbine in Vergennes, Vermont.
Design-Build:
ECI is your source for design-build. We can bring together the experts and the visionaries of the industry to provide a design-build turnkey solution. As a heavy civil contractor, ECI can bond a design-build project, which is something most contractors in the renewable energy industry don’t do. The Vermont National Guard 2.2 MW Renewable Energy Project was a design-build project that ECI performed for the government.
Substations:
In addition to the generation side, ECI works extensively with the electrical transmission and distribution companies on substations and underground lines related to the changes in their infrastructure for new renewable energy sources as they come on line. We also constructed the below-ground portion of the Kingdom Ridge Collector Substation in Lowell, Vermont.
