Safety Focus of the Week: Flammable & Combustible Liquids (Revisited)
Gasoline, kerosene, diesel, other petroleum fuels, and possibly other products that we use are subject to OSHA Standards 1926.152. The scope of this standards, as it applies to us, includes:
- Storage container requirements
- Container Labeling & Placarding
- Storage Requirements for inside of Buildings
- Fire Protection
- Containment Systems
- Other Items
OHSA 1926.152 – Storage of Flammable & Combustible Liquids
In addition to OSHA, we are also subject DOT requirements for handling, storing, labeling, placarding, and transporting these liquids.
