Lightning is a common hazard during this time of year.  As construction workers, our work place can make us particularly vulnerable.  We are often in electrical substations, handling steel pipe, working around cranes, and generally in an open unprotected sites.

In general we should seek the shelter of our vehicle when a lightning storm approaches.  And we should always be extra cautious when working around cranes.
