Safety Focus of the Week: Aerial Lifts (Revisited)
We use aerial lifts rather frequently and on a variety of projects – bridge repairs, pile driving, demolition, etc. The key to safe operation of lifts is to plan ahead:
- Select the appropriate size and for the required terrain.
- Prepare a level firm work platform when required in advance.
- Bring the required PPE, including fall protection equipment.
- Operators should be properly trained and familiar with the equipment.
