An OSHA inspector visiting a work site with a guard rail system is likely to check the following:
Top Rail Height = 39 to 45 inches and should not deflect more than 2″ with a 200 lb load
Mid Rail Height = 21 inches and should restrain a 150 lb load
Toe Plate to keep materials and tools from falling
No jagged edges that could cause injury
