City of Burlington Municipal Paving Contract

AC Paving Corporation has been awarded this municipal paving project multiple times in the past 10 years. We are uniquely qualified to perform this work thanks to our skilled workers and specialized paving equipment. Municipal paving is different from other paving projects because of the traffic control, managing of pedestrian traffic, coordination with businesses and residents, restricted access to narrow streets, overhead utilities that restrict direct dumping into the paver, significant quantities of in-road structures, and careful planning to best fit the new pavement surface to existing curbing, driveways, etc.
Scope of Work:
- Cold planing of existing surfaces or complete reclaiming
- Raising of any structures (manholes, catchbasins, valve boxes, etc) to accommodate new paving
- Maintenance of traffic
- Installation of bituminous asphalt pavements
- Associated curbing or sidewalk reconstruction
- Pavement markings
- Reconstruction of signal loop detection systems embedded in the pavements
