Lime Kiln Substation Retaining Wall - 2010

ECI installed this Redi-Rock precast concrete block retaining wall for an electric substation project. The wall consists of over 2,700 blocks with a face area of about 15,600 square feet. The project was the largest single wall project ever supplied by Carroll Concrete. ECI installed as many as 9 truckloads of blocks per day which far exceeded Carroll’s previous record delivery rate of 5 trucks/day.

Rock Excavation
Reinforced Concrete Footing (700 cy) with Passive Rock Dowels
Installation of 2,700 Blocks
Backfill with Pervious Gravel
